Tour: MERZOUGA - (4 Days)
This trip will take you to Merzouga, the village renowned for its dunes, the highest in Morocco.
During this journey you will approach the Berber nomads of southern Morocco. You will discover their culture, way of life, and their environment filled with landscapes of all beauties and unique in the world.
You will have the opportunity to practice several activities: Camel riding, bivouac in the desert, quad biking, sand bath and others.
Day 1: Marrakech-Ouarzazate-Valley of the Rose - Gorges Dades
Departure will be from your hotel or riad around 8am. Head towards the High Atlas Mountains, passing by the Tizi n'tichka pass (2260 m). On the road you will see the snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas as well as numerous Berber villages.
After the descent of the High Atlas, you will arrive at the village of Ait Ben Haddou.
Its Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was a stop and an important crossroads at the time of the caravan trade of the Sahara. It is one of the best preserved and fortified Kasbah in the country, with its high red stone walls.
After a short visit of the site, your journey resumes through the desert city of Ouarzazate, and a crossing of the route of the thousand Kasbahs. You will then discover the Oasis of Skoura, the valley of the roses and finally the Gorges of Dades where you can dine and spend the night.
Day 2: Gorge of Dadès-Gorges Todra-Merzouga-Erg Chebbi
In the morning, you will have a pleasure to discover a panorama of all beauty. You will enjoy a beautiful view on the valley of Dades and its gorges stretching towards the High Atlas.
You will then head to the Todra gorges through a geography dotted with ruins of kasbahs, verdant oases and typical villages. A true paradise for photographers! You can relax at the gorges of Todra in the water between high rock walls reaching 300 meters.
After this break, the journey continues to the Moroccan desert and its sunny dunes of Erg Chebbi, not far from Merzouga.
Arrived at the end of the day, you will go for a 1 hour camel ride to enjoy a beautiful sunset. You will then be able to appreciate all the loneliness and peace that the extent of the desert provides.
This beautiful moment engraved in your memory, will be the time to go to L'oasis where you will spend a night under tent and starry sky.
Day 3: Erg chebbi-Merzouga-Nekib-Ouarzazate
Your day starts early. You will leave your Oasis on camels and watch a spectacular sunrise before arriving in Merzouga.
You will then have your breakfast and you can take a shower before leaving for Marrakech.
For the return trip, you will take a different route from the go. This time you will cross the volcanic mountains of Sarhro with their rock formations of another planet.
You will also discover the centuries-old oasis of palm trees of the valley of Deraâ
Day 4: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
For this last stage of the journey, you will have a second chance to admire and visit the village of Aït Ben Haddou and its famous Kasbah.
Another stop at the village of Tichka for lunch and relax.
