The valley of Ouirgane is located 60 km from Marrakech, surrounded by the mountains of the High Atlas, and diving in a beautiful artificial lake. It is known for its permanent greenery, and to be an ideal place for lovers of hiking.
You will leave in the morning in the direction of Ouirgane.
You will cross the plateau of the Kik and its numerous olive groves, you will discover small authentic Berber villages, the dam of lalla Takerkouste, as well as the valley of Asni, bearing the name of a village located at 1150 m of altitude, known for Its beauty and its fruit trees.
If the day of your excursion coincides with the local market day, you can also stock up on organic fruits and vegetables as well as craft products.
You can visit one of the traditional women's cooperatives producing argan oil and offering natural products based on this holy oil.
Arriving at the Ouirgane valley, you can choose to relax in peaceful surroundings, as you can start a hike to the Ouirgane dam or to the salt mines of Marigha.
You will meet villagers with simple lifestyle and sincere hospitality, and you can share with them a tea worm between orchards and fruit trees.
At lunchtime, grab a table at one of the local restaurants, and enjoy a tajine while enjoying a splendid view of the valley and Lake Ouirgan.
